When Niko and I first met, we traveled a lot throughout the US. We met in Florida and both ended up in Denver in 2016. From Denver, we traveled to some beautiful places!
My favorite trip was a long weekend in Moab. We stayed in a yurt overlooking a gorgeous canyon and for the first time in my life, I saw the Milky Way. A few months later we traveled to the beautiful Teton mountains and went skiing in Jackson Hole, WY. We would have loved to do some world travel but our life quickly changed with the news of my son's arrival.

5 years and two kiddos later, it's hard to get out of the state, never mind the country. So when we got this Wooden World Map from Enjoy The Wood I knew it would be so much more than just a map for us.

We decided to install the map in our front sitting room. The wall we chose is a focal point from our foyer. The room is a deep navy and the Tera colored map popped beautifully off the dark background. We installed it right above our camel colored couch. I LOVE the depth and color variations through the natural wood tones.
The map came with small, round adhesives to adhere to the back of each piece to make the installation super simple. There are also cardboard templates for the left and right top corners so you can make sure everything will be installed nice and level. I have read about it taking some people hours to install but it only took us about 45 minutes.

My older son, Luca, immediately took interest in the map. He started asking how long it takes to fly to other countries and wanted me to start naming them.
I love that we can have this map as a conversation piece in our home. It's an educational tool to teach our children about where our families are from and make goals for travel in the future. Whether it's for yourself or a gift for someone else, you will not be disappointed! 10/10!
